A week in Shenzhen is enough to meet an assembler, a battery person, and a packaging converter, and to learn which of them will still answer after you fly home. It is not enough to freeze a spec. A district that made a beautiful film will not take your meeting because you liked the picture.
One of each, not nine
- One factory, one parts market, one converter.
- Book the line for the afternoon, when it is actually running.
- Ask what they refuse. The refusal is the capability.
- Leave with the next sample dated, in writing.
What the film will not tell you
Huaqiangbei is for parts literacy, not for folklore. Write the week as questions you still owe, or it becomes a camera roll. Five days chooses the partner. It does not choose the final resistor.
