Yiwu, when not to
The market is honest about small goods and rude about originals. Close is how disputes start.

Floor notes from Shenzhen and the valleys that still answer the phone.

Yiwu is the right door for a finished small object you are willing to choose, not invent: a cup, a bag, a plain case. It is the wrong door for a mechanism you intend to own. The stalls will show you something close. Walk.
Go only when the SKU already exists
- If it needs a new mould, do not start here.
- Photograph the stall number and the unit in one frame.
- Ask the carton quantity before you admire the sample.
- A lookalike is not a courtesy.
Do not go to see what happens. If the object needs a tool cut for you alone, you want a contract and a specialist, not a stall number.
